Google telah mengumumkan akan menamai Android selanjutnya dengan nama KitKat. Produk Coklat dari Nestle itu akan menjadi ikon Android yang rencananya akan dirilis Oktober nanti. Biasanya, perangkat Android seri Nexus, akan pertama kali disambangi Android seri terbaru. Berikut ponsel lain yang juga akan disambangi Android KitKat

Sebagai pemimpin pasar Android, Samsung diharapkan memperbaharui sistem operasi Android pada perangkat produksinya. Namun, kelihatannya Samsung sempoyongan karena banyaknya seri produknya. Nikita Mirzani Ngaku di Singapore Padahal Grogol

 Aktris Nikita Mirzani jadi bulan-bulanan di situs microblogging Twitter sejak Sabtu petang, 21 September 2013. Pasalnya, pemain film Kakek Cangkul danNenek Gayung itu diduga membuat cuit palsu lewat akun Twitter-nya, @nikitamirzani.

Cuit yang membuat heboh "penghuni" Twitter itu diunggah Nikita pada Sabtu sore, pukul 16.16, lewat aplikasi UberSocial di iPhone-nya. "Singapore panas banget," demikian ditulis Nikita sebelum menonaktifkan akunnya.

Entah apakah Nikita menyadarinya, namun dalam fasilitas peta yang ada di Twitter, ia terdeteksi berada di Jalan Tanah Baru 1, Grogol Utara, Jakarta. Data itu secara tak langsung membantah cuit Nikita yang curhat sedang berada di Singapura.

Beragam komentar nyinyir pun hadir di Twitter menyikapi cuit Nikita yang menggunakan identitas Miminalolly itu. Sutradara Joko Anwar, lewat akun @jokoanwar, berkomentar: "Insidious 2", film horor yang tengah tayang di bioskop Indonesia, disertai foto layar telepon seluler yang menampilkan cuit Nikita.

Akun lain juga meniru cuit Nikita yang seolah-olah pamer sedang berada di luar negeri. Misalnya akun @THINKWL yang berujar, "Lupa beli kurma di Tunisia nih :(". Sedangkan akun @nidiviana milik Nidia Noviana mencuit, "Di dunia maya mah bisa ngaku sape ajeee. Professional writer padahal cuma nulis blog. Motivator speaker - padahal cuma ngisi acara kampus."

Sakin banyak yang mencemooh, akun tersebut ditutup. Tertulissory that page doesn't exist.

It Is Coming! Insidious 3 in The Making

Entertainment One (eOne), FilmDistrict, and Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions (SPWA) announced today that together they will be developing the third chapter of the micro-budgeted "Insidious" film franchise which Leigh Whannell has signed on to write. Whannell has written both Insidious and Insidious Chapter 2, which just had a stellar first weekend release in North America debuting to more than $40 million at the box office making it one of the largest horror genre openings ever and one of the biggest openings for a film released in the month of September. Jason Blum and his Blumhouse Productions, which produced both Insidious and Insidious Chapter 2, is producing the next installment along with Oren Peli. Steven Schneider, Brian Kavanaugh Jones, Peter Schlessel, Lia Buman and Xavier Marchand are executive producing.

In a joint statement, Peter Schlessel, FilmDistrict's CEO, Xavier Marchand, eOne's President, Film Production, and Steven Bersch, President of SPWA, said, "The release of the first 'Insidious' resonated with audiences around the world and quickly became one of the most talked about films in 2011. The first Insidious told the story of Josh and Renai Lambert and their son Dalton, confronting the demons that possess the young boy. The project was picked up by Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions at the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival and distributed by FilmDistrict in the US. eOne handles rights to the film in Canada, U.K. and Spain, and Sony handles rights in the rest of the world. It was released on April 1, 2011, and has grossed $97 million worldwide. With the picture's reported $1.5 million budget, it has led to the film being called the most profitable film of 2011. 

Insidious Chapter 2 follows the haunted Lambert family as they seek to uncover the mysterious childhood secret that has left them dangerously connected to the spirit world. Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Lin Shaye, Ty Simpkins, and Barbara Hershey reprised their roles in the film directed by James Wan, who also directed the first installment.

"MISS SAIGON" Revival Still Searching for Kim and Engineer to Hold Auditions in NYC

BroadwayWorld.com has learned via a casting notice sent to agents this week that the upcoming West End revival of Miss Saigon is still searching for both 'Kim' and 'the Engineer'. The casting search will continue in New York City after open auditions were held in London this July.

Auditions will be held at the end of this month and early October for the roles. The musical is currently set to begin rehearsals on March 10, 2014, with performances beginning on May 1 at thePrince Edward Theatre.

Katak Gardiner Mendengar Dengan Mulut

Ada yang unik dari kemampuan mendengar katak Gardiner. Katak mungil asal Republik Seychelles, sebuah negara kepulauan di timur laut Madagaskar, ini mendengar lewat mulutnya.

Penelitian terbaru French National Center for Scientific Research menunjukkan katak Gardiner tidak memiliki telinga tengah dan gendang telinga konvensional untuk mendengar suara yang dihasilkan katak lainnya. Namun bukan berarti katak ini tuli.

Sebagai gantinya, katak mungil berwarna cokelat dan berukuran sekuku jari tangan manusia ini menggunakan rongga mulutnya untuk menangkap gelombang suara dari lingkungan sekitarnya.

"Katak ini bisa membuat nyanyian mereka sendiri dan mendengar panggilan katak lainnya," kata pemimpin penelitian, Renaud Boistel, di Paris, Prancis.

Seperti dikutip dari laman Livescience, Selasa, 3 September 2013, katak Gardiner termasuk salah satu spesies katak terkecil di dunia. Kemampuan mendengarnya yang unik membuat para ilmuwan tertarik meneliti amfibi ini.

Dalam penelitiannya, Boistel dan timnya menggunakan pencitraan sinar X untuk mengintip ke dalam kepala katak. Mereka menemukan katak Gardiner menggunakan rongga mulut mereka untuk memperkuat suara yang merambat ke telinga bagian dalam melalui jaringan ikat.

Boistel mengatakan, kebanyakan hewan berkaki empat memiliki telinga tengah yang berisi tulang pendengaran, termasuk katak. Tulang berukuran sangat kecil ini berfungsi menangkap getaran dari gendang telinga dan mengirimkan gelombang suara dari udara ke cairan koklea, sehingga dapat didengar.

"Ada spesies katak bersuara parau seperti jenis katak lain, padahal katak itu tidak memiliki telinga tengah untuk mendengarkan satu sama lain. Ini sempat menimbulkan pertanyaan," kata Boistel, menyatakan temuan ini telah menjawab misteri itu
